Restaurant-Grade Steel. Nonstick Performance. The 316 Stainless Steel Honeycomb Frying Pan.
Most nonstick pans rely on a coating that degrades over time — scratching, flaking, and eventually losing effectiveness. The 316 Stainless Steel Honeycomb Frying Pan takes a different approach: a full honeycomb surface pattern pressed into medical-grade 316 stainless steel that reduces the contact area between food and pan, achieving natural nonstick release without a chemical coating. The result is a pan that lasts, handles high heat without concern, and works across every hob type including induction and oven.
Key Features
- 316 stainless steel construction — medical-grade stainless steel; more corrosion-resistant than standard 304 grade, with no reactive surfaces
- Full honeycomb surface — the pressed honeycomb pattern reduces food-contact area, promoting natural nonstick release and preventing sticking without a chemical coating
- 28 cm diameter — generous cooking surface suitable for family meals serving 3–6 people
- 5.5 cm depth — deep enough to handle sauces, braising, and generous portions without spilling
- 21.5 cm handle — long, comfortable handle for secure grip and safe distance from the heat
- All hob compatible — gas, induction, electric ceramic, halogen, and oven safe
Best Used For
- Searing proteins — the stainless steel surface develops excellent colour and crust on meat, fish, and poultry
- Sautéing vegetables at high heat without sticking
- Eggs and delicate proteins that normally require heavy nonstick coating
- Pan sauces — the stainless steel base allows deglazing and fond development for rich sauces
- Family-sized stir fries and one-pan meals for 3–6 people
How to Use
- Preheat the pan on medium heat before adding oil — stainless steel performs best when brought to temperature before the cooking fat is added
- Add oil and allow it to shimmer before adding food — this activates the natural nonstick properties of the honeycomb surface
- Avoid moving food immediately after adding it — allow it to release naturally before turning
- Deglaze with wine, stock, or water after cooking to lift any fond and create a pan sauce
Care Instructions
- Hand wash with warm soapy water — 316 stainless steel is dishwasher safe but hand washing maintains the finish
- For stuck-on residue: deglaze on the hob with water while still warm, or soak briefly before washing
- Avoid steel wool — use a nylon brush or soft sponge to preserve the honeycomb surface
- Dry immediately to prevent water spots on the stainless finish
