The Paring Knife That Changes How You Think About Paring Knives.
Most paring knives are an afterthought — a small, cheap blade that came in a set and gets used for everything from peeling apples to opening packages. The Kona Damascus Paring Knife by Faneema Cutlery is the opposite of that. It is a deliberately crafted, premium kitchen tool designed to make every peeling, trimming, and detail task feel effortless — and to look exceptional on any counter or in any kitchen.
Hand-forged Damascus steel. Sapele wood handle. Renaissance Wax and mineral oil protective finish applied before it leaves the workshop. A knife built in response to what serious home cooks actually asked for.
The Blade
- Hand-forged Damascus steel — multi-layer construction with the distinctive Damascus pattern unique to each blade
- 58HRC hardness — hard enough to hold a working edge through daily use; tough enough to resist chipping
- Razor-sharp from the box — hand-forged and finished to be ready to use immediately
- Precision cutting edge — engineered for the fine, controlled cuts that define good paring knife work
The Handle
- Sapele wood — a premium hardwood with interlocking grain and a warm, rich tone; both beautiful and functional
- Comfortable in hand — shaped for the close-grip work that paring knives demand
- Treated with Renaissance Wax and mineral oil — food-safe protective finish applied at the workshop; ready to use from day one
Includes
- Kona Damascus Paring Knife
- Premium gift box — presentation-ready for gifting or personal purchase
Best Used For
- Peeling fruit and vegetables with precision and control
- Coring apples, pears, and stone fruit
- Trimming, scoring, and detail prep work at the cutting board
- Decorative garnish work and plating detail
- Any task that requires a short, manoeuvrable blade and a confident, sharp edge
Care Instructions
- Hand wash with warm water after every use — dry immediately and completely with a soft towel
- Never put in the dishwasher — heat and detergent will damage both the Damascus blade and the Sapele handle
- Store on a magnetic knife strip or in a knife sheath — not loose in a drawer
- Apply a thin coat of food-grade mineral oil to the blade periodically to maintain the Damascus finish
- Treat the Sapele handle with a drop of natural wood oil occasionally to keep it conditioned
Hand-forged Damascus. Sapele wood. The paring knife that earns a permanent place in your kitchen.
